is playing a bit with the nightly build I created a distribution in perfect retro style, I don't know if anyone can be interested, I open this thread because in the previous one it was created a little confusion

The System

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sJb6IBuRj3joRnomA9z-pZCbIMnzHh33/view?usp=sharing

Selection of Games Vol 1 and Vol 2  "opengl graphics card also required minimun geforce 6200 512 Mb"

https://drive.google.com/open?id=17uPxNaI8bL7MO-ibBToeIDfwZlBGRISv

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ax7yk5EZ-oCl0m978Aml93TyeYtePmBt

after installing the distribution you need to set the background image the one in the recuadro used by me is "pennellate.jpg" is in "prefs / preset / patterns / misc".

Then you have to do the user-startup assignment to "development:", "bin:", "usr:", the latter two are part of "development:", this to make zunearc work at its best, so we will have

assign development: "path:"
assign usr: development:
assign bin: development:

I came across a draft of text on aros, thanks to serk we have text2pdf but I could not find a program for drafting the text before doing the conversion because it was not possible to limit the margins where the text was to be inserted, here with simple editor this it is possible, the margins are preset depends on the opening of the window, it is not an excellent way of working but all in all with these two tools we can create text pages in pdf format ;)

Salvo, on AROS we already have many little string management tools coming from Unix, in the Development:bin directory. You might look into them to add line feeds at the end of each "printed" line, in order to better format text before creating the PDF file. This might be a good approach to automatize things a little. Obviously, you need to know text font size and print resolution in order to break lines correctly. Inside Icaros Desktop there is the manual of GNU Tools I have collected some years ago. You may start there to find what you need.

I have updated the ISO of the system now all the icons are arranged, the applications are enough, there is the essential to draw, make music, see videos, the browser is still functional, from dopus you can listen to mods via command, you can also convert a wave file to ogg and flac is everything

I use aros for the production of my music, there are some excellent tools that are simple to use, for example with pxdrum I create the drum patterns, export them to wav and use them as samples on audioevolution where after recording my instrument, the rest fantasy makes it

enjoy
