Bootloader does not find right unit
« on: January 10, 2019, 10:58:48 PM »
Downloaded latest abi v.1 night build
Booted from USB optical drive and installed to internal drive. ACER aspire one 110.
After boot I only see grub in left corner.
As experienced AROS user I remember this from before.
I then booted AROS CD again. Selected to only install
boot loader and changed unit to 2.
Then everything was ok.
It would be good if this could be fixed.

I agree, I just had to deal with this on abi-0, except in my case I had to use unit 10.

If it can't be automatically detected, it would be nice if the installer had a cycle gadget to list the available units. Device names would be better. Unit numbers give you no clue to it's location.

I guess this is not a pressing issue. It's a pita and would really be tough for a newbie to handle.
