The other WiFi option is a Netgear WG111v3 USB dongle.

And you'd hope, given the nature of the project, the Atomic Pi developers would be willing to share the hardware specs to help with the production of drivers.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Here I am, such as I am

Hi Santiago,
Welcome to the forum  :). It sounds like you have some nice classics there. Once you have AROS up and running it shouldn't be too difficult to transfer your files from the A4000 disk, so long as its formatted with FFS or SFS (I assume its a PATA or SCSI hard drive). What you would need is a hard drive to USB interface - no problem for PATA, although maybe a bit more difficult to source for SCSI. When the interface is plugged into your AROS machine the drive's partitions should be mounted and you can copy across your programs to run in the JanusUAE emulator.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Oh, you just reminded me that I have recently acquired a SAMSUNG notebook as well! It should be really similiar to the ACER netbook that was advertised to be almost fully supported by AROS. Need to install latest Icaros on it... too many projects, too little time (:

They are really nice machines; mine runs AROS smoothly with almost no issues at all. The one problem I do have is I have to use a very old version of i8042.hidd as the trackpad woudn't work with the newer one. Anyway, all the best with your A3000 rejuvination - they were a real powerhouse back in the day.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Development (General) / Re: SMP Update?

I think I would be happy to have a Raspberry Pi 3b+ with smp and all drivers.

That would be a brilliant little machine - fingers crossed this actually comes to pass in the new year.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Oh yes, silent computers are very nice. The hard drive in my Samsung netbook recently died, and I decided to replace it with a 0.5 TB SSD, which I'm pleased to say gave me no probelms in setting up with AROS. The original drive was hardly noisy, but I've been pleasantly suprised at how much I notice its complete silence. As a bonus, it's also helped battery life too.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Just to confirm, Designer 4 for OS3 does run fine under Janus UAE. Once I've created a project using it I export a script which is then compiled under the AROS native Hollywood.

Cheers,
Nigel.
