General Chat / Re: best way to emulate classic 68k?

claude, with WinUAE you can mount any periphery (Hardisk, Pendrive, SD) both if formatted FAT32 or FFS/SFS/PFS.
Once this is done, you can copy the files where you think best.

WinUAE:Mount - Dismount Two SD FAT32 (test video)

On Windows there are also programs (filemanager) that manages .hdf (see screenshot)

I found out that it's not AfA-OS's fault, on a basic OS 3.9 + AfA-OS installation, PowerWindows works well, I have to find the culprit.

Also I used it in the past on OS 3.9 without AfA-OS, did you use it on OS 3.9 + AfA-OS + RTG? maybe now I try again, it may be that I did something wrong!

@ Ball000
We confirm the intuition.library v45 of OS 3.1.4 has this functionality

Powerwindows it is not compatible with OS 3.9

Thank you very much, i was not wrong then?

I would have liked to bring the intuiton.library on AfA-OS to move the windows off the screen as you do on AROS 68k (see screenshot)

This is my OS3.9 + AfA-OS:

Tested the asl.library AROS 68k  with OS 3.1 and I get the same result, not supported, see screenshot

I did not understand what you said, but if you try to replace the asl.library on OS 3.9 with that of AROS 68k, you will see that on OS3.9 no shell or request can be opened

ArosVision is not ARSOS 68k, it's two different systems,AROS 68k is a modern and fast system with new native system applications (watch the video), it is not only the Icon.library that is incompatible, there are many others.

Paul, I'm not talking about AfA-OS, I'm talking about OS3.x in general, apart from the AROS 68k native applications that will never work on OS3 because of the missing "stdc.library" on this system, many libraries are also not supported by OS3.x.
In practice, nothing of AROS 68k native is compatible with OS3.x, in practice they are two completely different systems, as mentioned on the contrary, many new OS3 applications, on the other hand, work on AROS 68x.

Paolo AfA-OS is not an independent system and a normal OS3.9 with the addition of a small extension that allows to improve the graphics, a bit like Dopus5 Magellan but less invasive because the System and the Workbench remain standard

------ italiano ------

I'm not talking about ArosVision but about AROS 68k that includes new native libraries, if you try to use on an OS3 you'll see that they do not work. Example try to replace the Icon.library of AROS 68k on OS3.9 and you'll see that OS3.9 will not start anymore.

This is AROS 68k:

No AROS 68k library runs on OS3.x AMiGA, while OS3.x libraries run on AROS 68k.

Example, if you replace some OS3.x libraries with those of AROS 68k, OS Amiga no longer works

Because the 68K AROS libraries are not compatible with Amiga OS3 68k ???  while the opposite is not :o

The site both works for me on OWB and on NetSurf, AWeb and IBrowser using "", but it works well even with OWB only.

There are problems to send a message, many times waiting times are very long (maybe this happens when some other user is connected to the same discussion ?)
