Title: it's possible to port wavetracer ds (audio editing software) there is the source
Post by: salvo on November 08, 2019, 11:05:40 PM
I downloaded the source code, we are lucky to have this is a great program and we do not have an editor for audio files, currently there is the daw "audioevolution 4" which unfortunately in this version is missing precisely the editor in the other versions was present, then we have a great midi sequencer "bars & Pipes" and the small quickrecord tool to record individual tracks, is it possible with icaros desktop live compile it? everything is written in c and also pascal for those who want to try this language, if anything I will try to download the full distribution currently or the light

best

Don't put the source code in the archives if there are no compiled, working version. Its been deleted. It is enough to link to it from where you found it in this tread. We don't want the archives to be a mess.

Source code on The Archives should be AROS related only: sources for AROS/Amiga applications that can be compiled directly on AROS or cross-compiled for AROS with NO efforts. General C code written for Linux or any other os, of applications that are NOT available on AROS, is pointless. It only duplicates a source archive which will get old with time, while there is already a repository for it elsewhere. If you find any use for not-compilable software you wish to preserve, just create yet-another-preservation project and put the sources there.

Calm down nikos and watch how you speak to people no matter how much you dislike something.

I'm tired of telling this guy about stuff. He upload all kind of stuff. Lot's of split files that I have to delete, Source files, Bad Explenation of what the files are, or none at all. On top of that he is kind of rude when I mention it.

Nikos, Salvo is only a little too "trigger happy" when uploading things. He also has a lot of problems with English and this lets people think he's rude. He's a nice old guy after all, and if there's something I may tell him in our native language to enhance his behaviour, just tell me. I will do what I can to fix the issue.

Salvo, why should you publish 900 MBs of stuff on the Archives? Isn't this stuff already available elsewhere? For instance, when someone ports the excutable of a game to AROS, there's NO NEED to publish the whole game data on the Archives: the executable and the few mandatory files are just enough.

maybe someone does not know the existence of these archives, in fact I did not know and on the documentation of darkplaces there is no mention on rygel's texture

wrapped it makes it difficult to search for certain archives on the internet I happened with some games, I do not see where is the problem seen and considering that we have a site where to group what we interest, I will continue to upload the archives of interest of the community because a lot of people download and don't come to complain about nonsense
