Title: archives.aros: Games that can't work on Aros
Post by: AMIGASYSTEM on May 20, 2021, 12:58:24 PM: On archives.aros "Uploads" there are two games "Runaway" and "FireAttack" that can never work on AROS x86 because the library "hurl.hwp" does not exist for AROS x86, i will try to inform the author :(

Post by: origami on May 21, 2021, 03:30:56 PM: It never hurts to ask but tbh i don't think that will happen (soon). Have you seen what the library hurl has to offer ? There are too much dependencies that are either not available for AROS or are available but require a custom implementation so that sources are 'compatible' to the "other" platforms. Otherwise Andreas would most probably already had done so already.

Yes you will probably need more, on OS3 the mentioned games work fine and do not require the "hurl.hwp" library probably "hurl.hwp" is built into the executable, I tried disabling the physical library the Libs and the games started without problems.

Andreas has responded to my E-Mail confirming my report, these are his words:

it's not possible to port hURL to AROS because AROS currently doesn't have AmiSSL, which is required by hURL. As
soon as that is available, I can provide hURL for AROS as well.

Both files have been removed from Archives.
