I am creating a User's Manual for AROS One, probably it will be in PDF, Doc, AmigaGuide and Htm Formats.

The Manuals will be in two languages English "Translated" and Italian, then maybe if someone would like to translate it into their own language or improve my English Translated, I will be happy with the cooperation, i attach small draft

Lots of great progress you are making. AROS One 1.9 coming up soon I presume?

Thanks amigamia, actually there is a lot of work behind AROS One, a lot of painstaking testing done file by file.

I started from a Nightly Build and slowly updated it with care and testing every thing added, then the rest was done by the developers with their updates.

AROS One 1.9 could be ready, of course the software updates are not lacking and especially the thousand new icons also in White version that make AROS One even more beautiful.

The Manual is complete, there are no images, I preferred to attach Video Links that are easier to understand, then maybe if I missed something you will point it out to me.

This is the Menu of the Amiga Guide version, it also works well with the Windows version Viewer, see screenshot !

Created a video with the preview of AROS One 1.9, highlighted at the end of installation, the change of system icons performed through an installer from icon apprpriate, the whole a thousand icons replaced in a few seconds.

I also report in this section some tests carried out these days with JanusUAE on AROS One x86

I created a Video Tutorial for "JanusUAE/WinUAE" showing how to initialize (with File System FFS, SFS or PFS), partition and format a PenDrive on Amiga OS, the procedure is identical if you want to do it on SD, HD even if external USB.

In the video you can see the creation of 2 partitions HD0 and HD1, and after the reboot the formatting and copying of the operating system.

If desired, the partitions can be left empty to later install the OS on the Amiga or Emulator side.

The Tutorial continues with mounting the Pendrive on AROS One x86, done this with the JanusUAE emulator included on AROS One I booted the Operating System installed on the Pendrive, both partitions were well managed JanusUAE, which is very fast and functional.

Also successfully tested a Pendriver with two partitions with filesystem SFS and AROS One 68k installed, AROS 68k runs quite fast, there is only the annoying problem of the double pointer, also the Pointer moves slowly and jerkily.

Created a proptotype of Icons in Classic Amiga style, creating a thousand of these icons would be a big effort for my old eyes, I would have to reduce all thematic images and adapt them in "transparency" on the small "height" measure too low.

These icons communque could be used standard without extra images, leaving only the animation and maybe adding the Glow effect, in this case no extra work is required.

I am attaching 2 Icons that you can use it for all the folders in your system, one is with Glow, the other without Glow, then maybe take a nice screenshot so we can see how they look, using your name on the icon was just luck

Successfully installed UHCTools on AROS one x86, there will probably also be an AROS x86 version of UHC-GUI, in which case you will be able to download archives from numerous repositories with one click

So then the fact is i go receive an old pc which will be followed by a nvidia 9500 et a rtl8139 for gfx and internet.
The fact is your distro seems top but is there any way to update from 1.8 to 1.9 when the release will be done ?

yogib33r thank you for choosing AROS One, on AROS One 1.9, in addition to software updates, there are also many changes and improvements on the configuration of many applications, so if I create an installer I might miss something.

Updating AROS One is very quick and easy if you use a Pendrive to install AROS One, these are the steps:

- Start AROS One v1.8
- Quickly format the system disk, if the second partition exists, you can choose to format it or not touch it

- Reboot your PC with the AROS One v1.9 Live Pendrive.
- Do a normal installation of AROS One

As you may have observed AROS One despite including so much software "unpacked and ready to use", installs in minutes if you use a Live Pendrive.
