I bought this laptop, it has a nice 15.4 screen, as a processor an intel core duo 2 at 1.50 Ghz and an excellent graphics card nvidia 8400 gs compatible with aros, the wifi card should be changed, I did it with a compatible one but i had some problems with owb, with other os no, surely with the netgear wg111v3 adapter that i ordered i will solve everything, highly recommended ;)

Good to know. Is audio fully supported?

Cheers,
Nigel.

only that I have a problem I can only hear the audio through the PC unfortunately, because if I insert the audio jack in line out, nothing can be heard, maybe it is a problem with the computer I got used :-\

I guess that could be fixed with a hardware hack - it might be possible to insert an old fashioned make/break headphone jack between the motherboard and and the speakers (always assuming they are connected via wires and the speakers are not mounted straight onto the motherboard).

Cheers,
Nigel.

unfortunately the audio is not routed from the connectors to external audio components only from inside the laptop :-\

Well, it would definitely be qa bit of a hack and, as mentioned, it would only work if there are wires between the motherboard and speakers. Crack open the case, drill a hole to mount the new headphone jack and splice in connecting wires to it from the speaker's wiring.

Cheers,
Nigel.

P.S.  I'm in a bit of a hardware hacking mood at the moment - I'm currently resurecting my old Samsung n145 (motherboard killed by an overvolting PSU) by replacing its motherboard with that from an n130 (4 off ebay and all hardware supported by AROS bar, ironically, its speakers), and I'm taking the opportunity to add an uprated battery, supported Atheros PCIe wifi, touchscreen and mSATA SSD.

I don't want to open the computer, then I'm not practical and I always need a second machine that I use with linux to create my Tiny Aros distribution and compile the new builds of alt-abiv0, currently I have another computer the one I have in signature and the samsung evo 860 makes me go really well with the whole system ;)

yes in the end I solved it, I lifted the keyboard of the laptop and I saw the connectors for the internal speakers, I disconnected them, now everything works fine, except for some problems in reassembly ;D
